The message of my artwork is to dream even in the darkest times. I wanted to translate what the song says into my artwork.
In my artwork, I tried my best to express the lyrics of “Ulap” by Rob Deniel. The two people dancing in the clouds depicts the lyrics “isasayaw ka sa ulap”. The reason why the windows does not have any color, is because it conveys the empty reality of the persona, as said in the lyrics “nagiisa, nakadungaw sa bintana”. While the sky in the artwork, illustrates the “world” that they want to achieve, which is said in the lyrics “atin nang kulayan ang munting mundo” and “gusto kang makasama”, hence making it colorful.
I chose this song for this type of artwork because I can relate to it. Although it talks about longing for a certain person, we can also see it as a person yearning to accomplish their goal in order to make the person’s life better. I also decided to do a painting as my artwork since I have a special admiration for paintings, and I wanted to test my capabilities.
Painting

I used short film as an instrument on my design because I want people to learn and to understand something through moving pictures.
Yes, the song named "teka lang" is a very special song that made me realized a lot of things.
SHORT FILM
by Daniela Tizon
People nowadays are experiencing a lot of mental and emotional problems and it is very important for us all to pause. Sometimes we might feel like the world is against us but we must also understand that the pain will not last longer, pain and emotions will teach us and will help us understand the situation we are in.
Digital art
by Anika Palacios
I simply wanted to convey that there is beauty in the simplest things that we do and make.
To relate it to the message I want to convey, I wanted to keep my artwork simple and minimal yet somehow create something beautiful
I had recently heard my cousins listening to it and it so happened I had to pick a song for our project so I thought why not this. I wanted to explore different modes of art and since it was first for me doing something digitally although it was pretty much simple but it’ll serve as a stepping stone for something new.

Dance
cover
by Floriane Jara

Given that my artwork is a dance cover, I chose the lyrical genre because I think it is what best fits the song and it is something I am comfortable with.
Like I mentioned in my previous answer, I chose this song because of its reassuring and comforting message to its listeners.
With the help of the song I chose, I tried to convey the message that we should not feel bad for not being able to be as productive or get as much done as we usually did pre-covid because it’s a fact that the circumstances we’ve been in these past months have been very draining. I am aware that it is hard to do, especially with the constant pressure around us to always be productive; however, we should not consider the time we took/take to rest as wasted time because it really is essential, especially in times like these. Personally, this is the message I gained from the song when I first heard it, which I thought would be great to share as well for this project.
